Interning at ASOS and the hunt for a midi skirt

Lisa Armstrong recently wrote an article in the Telegraph about that awkward time of the year when it's not quite warm enough to bare full leg, yet black tights seem to be frowned upon with "it's not winter?!" remarks. It seems to indeed be that time of year again where the world is definitely not ready to see my pasty legs. So I need a solution! In July I start a one month internship at ASOS and I'm definitely going to have to up my game in the style stakes!

Lisa Armstrong's solution to this predicament is socks. Not just any socks. Frilly socks that are on show. While this a trend I'm definitely going to have to try, I've decided to go back to an old post about my search for a pleated midi skirt. I've currently got myself 3 bargains that I thought would fit the bill.

Although not technically a "midi" I love the cut of this skirts which seems to be on trend at the moment. This one from Primark was a steal! However, a tan is needed methinks!

I loved the pattern of this skirt from Primark. For a cheap skirt the material is lovely and it fits really well.

I initially fell in love with the colour of this skirt and it's a good length if you're not prepared to show a bit of leg! I bought it off of eBay so it was very cheap however, with the material up close you can sort of tell.

Unfortunately, I took the first pictures whilst the sun was gloriously shining. This week it seems to have abandoned us again. Let's hope it comes back soon!
